lyrics
The act of being silent doesn't mean there's nothing said.
Here we are in this new apartment, speaking unspoken language.
It doesn't feel like home yet and something says it never will.
it's hard to sleep when between you creeps foreshadowing of years to come between us.
Moving in with you is not moving.
moving in with you is moving on.
I unpacked all of the boxes like it couldn't be reversed,
I cleaned the house and waited to across the universe.
You cried as you closed the suitcase, for your temporary leave,
The last time that I saw you is forever burned into my memory.
i never wanted to move, but i did it for you.
When you came home that monday,
i was gone and took the bed.
Oh, that little stupid empty apartment,
truly symbolized the end.
i didn't want things to get ugly,
which is why we didn't speak.
It's impressive how only a handful of words,
can destroy what was once a beautiful thing.

I remember when Growing In was released as a surprise, I was incredibly excited. And the way Ace passed it off as something he just whipped up really quick made me excited to just have a little something extra. But this album quickly became my favorite album of the year, and may even be my favorite album out of all of Ace's projects. christovix

Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
The UK upstarts' debut veers from sunny, psychedelic folk to bristling post-punk with reckless abandon without ever missing a beat. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 18, 2024
