lyrics
I was in the backyard looking in the mirror,
You were in the bedroom seeing it much clearer.
We were not meant to be, but sometimes it's alright.
I don't disagree, but girl you've got some nerve,
saying I don't give you half what you deserve.
Meet me in the kitchen listen tell me, is this absurd?
We could wait a while and see if it gets better,
although we realize that won't happen ever.
You're too comfortable to change.
I'm too tired to run away.
So let's just a wait a while and see if it gets better.
I don't know...
I don't know how I didn't see that we were sinking.
I hate you when you're drunk and you hate me when you're drinking.
Watch your mouth, watch your mouth,
You have a little drink and you let it all out.
Looks like we're stuck together...

I remember when Growing In was released as a surprise, I was incredibly excited. And the way Ace passed it off as something he just whipped up really quick made me excited to just have a little something extra. But this album quickly became my favorite album of the year, and may even be my favorite album out of all of Ace's projects. christovix

Been following Somos for many years, feeling that they had an opus in them...well, here it is. Driving pop-punk sensibilities lend an upbeat tone in contrast to the grim lyrical proceedings, and they absolutely pull it off. Evocative music that's been on repeat for me all month long. RIP, Phil PaintedDogs
The UK upstarts' debut veers from sunny, psychedelic folk to bristling post-punk with reckless abandon without ever missing a beat. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 18, 2024
